Job Description

Project Quantity SurveyorTees Valley (Hybrid working available) PermanentSellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Project Quantity Surveyor for a large social housing organisation based within the Tees Valley area.The Quantity Surveying position requires an enthusiastic and driven individual to control and report on the commercial aspect of the organisations investment programme that will commence later this year.Duties of the Project Quantity Surveyor:

  • Report to the Quantity Surveying manager, evaluating all levels of commercial risk associated with their allocated projects
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget, protecting the organisations commercial and contractual interests throughout the Partnership Framework
  • Lead the commercial aspect of your allocated schemes, certify payments to contractors, predict final outcomes/cash flows and report on your findings periodically
  • Evaluate all levels of commercial risk and maximise the benefit to the organisation, covering procurement, risk mitigation, pricing, and contract management
  • Report commercial performance associated with allocated projects within the Asset Investment plan, working closely with the project management teams
  • Manage/control contractor accounts from start to final account and reporting predicted spend against the framework budget
  • Commercially manage schemes within the Asset investment programme, providing good accounting and accurate budget predictability
  • Accountable for financial forecast and cash flow of allocated schemes
Requirements of the Project Quantity Surveyor:
  • Possess degree or HNC qualified that has Quantity Surveying experience, preferably within a housing or commercial background
  • JCT framework experience and a solid understanding of Partnering Contracts and management
  • Demonstrable experience of managing commercially and contractually numerous projects concurrently
  • Full driving license, as travel to sites is required
