Job Description

This is a varied role proving full site support, the successful applicant may come from a Production Technician or Process Technician background and will primarily support the Quality Manager, Plant Chemist, Process Engineer & EHS coordinator.This is a new role and the Process Technician will get access to a variety of areas across engineering and offers genuine opportunity to develop their career.Client DetailsBased in the Middlesbrough area the business are part of a large UK operation, produce a reputable product and have a solid order book.The SLT are outstanding and facilitate an excellent work atmosphere.With good transport links in to Middlesbrough this role is commutable from Durham, Sunderland, Hartlepool, Darlington and surrounding areasDescriptionDue to the varied nature of this Production Technician role, duties are not ranked by importance or bias and certainly not limited to the below:

  • EHS support, COSHH/MSDS/REACH etc
  • Contribute to CI and lean manufacturing projects
  • Development trials
  • Quality department responsibilities include internal/external auditing and corrective actions
  • Supplier, partner site visit
  • Calibration processes
  • Production and maintenance planning
  • Mentor junior staff - this role is ideally suited to someone with senior aspirations
  • Assessment and implementation of new test/inspection equipment
  • Performing testing/inspection of product to support trials and investigations
  • Data analysis of non-conforming raw materials and product and their disposition
  • Monitor, report and RCA of complaints
  • Supporting the review of legislative developments to determine changes in requirements and effects on companys manufacturing activities
  • Involved in development, implementation and review of processes and procedures
  • Data and information gathering and trending data to support internal processes and external certifications
  • Supporting the Plant Chemist and other roles in the laboratory
    • ProfileAttitude and character are key - the business are looking to invest in the right person, who will be someone looking to develop their exp with a knowledgeable, successful engineering organisation.
  • Good IT/Microsoft skills
  • Organised with ability to prioritise
  • Work autonomously
  • Early engineering experience, ideally 2-3years exp supported by relevant engineering academics whether that be vocational, HNC/D or degree
