Job Description

Operations ManagerMiddlesbroughPermanent£44,000 - £54,220 DOEOur client, an organisation based in Middlesbrough are looking for an Operations Manager to join their team.Duties will include, but is not limited to:

  • Managing the legislative maintenance activities on-site, including ensuring that inspection requirements are undertaken, Functional Safety proof tests are carried out, Legionella management, and ensure that statutory routines are programmed and carriedout in line with the maintenance plan
  • Application of the safe systems of work and undertake the role of Safety Controller
  • Planning, organising and supervising maintenance activities utilising the CMMS
  • Plant & control system first line fault diagnosis and reporting
  • Leading site technicians for operations, maintenance, project work and outage preparation activities
  • Operating the plant to ensure compliance with appropriate safety and environmental standards, and statutory requirements
  • Carrying out plant-related routine duties to ensure plant performance, availability and reliability are maintained to a high level.
  • General day-to-day management of the operations and maintenance technicians on site
The successful candidate will have:
  • Minimum ONC/C&G or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline (preferably HNC.)
  • Industrial Steam Boiler operations and maintenance experience (BOAS desirable)
  • NEBOSH Cert, IOSH Managing safely or similar safety qualification (desirable)
  • 18th Edition qualifications (desirable)
