The company in question are an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing critical subsea components. This is a fantastic timeto join our client as they have just received considerable investment and are looking to strengthen their place in the market. Do you have experience working within the Oil & Gas / Subsea sector If so please read on...THE ROLE * Have a strong NDT background with a minimum of PCN level 2 qualifications in DPI, MPI, LPI and UT (3.1 / 3.2)* Assisting in various other QC activities such as Pressure Testing, Hardness Testing and Heat Treatment, PMI, Thickness Checks* Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages include excel and word* Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment* Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements* Be willing to increase your knowledge and undertake personal development* Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others* Knowledge of welding processes (e.g., clad overlay) and an understanding of Engineering Standards such as ASME / API would be an advantage but not essentialTHE PERSON* PCN level 2 qualifications in DPI, MPI, LPI and UT (3.1 / 3.2)* Have experience of NDT of in-process and finished machined components and high integrity fabrication welds, ensuring they comply with customer specifications* Have experience of working within an Engineering production environment* Have strong mathematical skills and the ability to understand engineering drawings* Be experienced in producing technical NDT reportsTO APPLYPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Consultant Neil Douthwaite who is leading the search.
