Job Description

JOB AD:MOCVD Engineer - MiddlesbroughHighly competitive salary plus incredible employee benefitsResponsibilities:

  • Performing, maintaining, documenting and optimising of existing processes.
  • Operation of MOCVD reactor.
  • Troubleshooting and addressing issues impacting yield & quality.
  • Developing expertise with the suite of epi metrology systems and participating in the on-going provision and development of our epi characterisation facilities.
  • Use of wafer and device level data to establish process limits.
  • Planning and execution of projects for the development and qualification of new processes and tools.
  • Contribution to the continuous development of supporting capabilities such as SPC, data analysis methods.
  • Generating technical reports and presentations of work.
  • Collaborate with Device Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Planning, Operations and Quality to ensure effective and timely production.
To be considered for the position you will need to have the following:
  • 3 years post-graduate experience with a focus in a semiconductor material growth role.
  • Practical experience of materials characterisation tools.
  • Degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry or related discipline.
  • Fundamental understanding of epitaxial growth physics and associated materials science.
  • Knowledge of MBE or MOCVD growth operations.
  • Knowledge of essential semiconductor characterisation techniques (ECV, X-Ray, PL, Hall, etc).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Appreciation of both practical and theoretical methodologies.
  • Data-driven approach and with proficient computer skills including experience with statistical data analysis tools such as JMP or Excel.
