Novacyt, supported by the CK Group, are recruiting for a Mechatronics Engineer to join the company at a pivotal point in their growth. This is an initial 6-month contract extending to a full-time position. Were looking for an enthusiastic engineer with a thorough working knowledge of Mechanical, Electronic design and Software.Salary:£40,000 per annum.Location:This role is located in Stokesley, Middlesbrough.Mechatronics Engineer Role:- First line support for equipment we use to manufacture our DNA testing instrumentation ranging from fibre optic processing equipment to fluorescence spectrometers.- Design and manufacture of jigs, fixtures and fittings to aid the manufacturing process and subsequent testing.- Provide training on the use of equipment and advise on the specification of new equipment.- Maintain a traceability register to support both pre-emptive and reactive maintenance- Follow procedures and processes to an ISO 9001 standard and ensure continuous improvement.- Keep abreast of applicable emerging technologies and advise on the updating of existing equipment.- Support the installation and use of various software systems throughout the company.Your Background:- Basic understanding of optics (mirror and lens scale).- Experience in good manufacturing practices.- Experience with injection moulding.- Knowledge of liquid handling (pipetting for example).- Full driving license, maximum 3 points.Apply:For more information or to apply for this Mechatronics Engineer position, please contact CK Groups technical team on or email , quoting job ref 49496.It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK.
