Job Description

The Mechanical Engineers primary responsibilities will be to conduct studies and make technical calculations working with the Senior Engineers.This position is suited for a Civil / Offshore or Mechanical Engineer who is a post-graduate who has had some entry level experience in a structural design environment.Client DetailsThe business is based in the Middlesbrough area, commutable from Darlington, Durham, Hartlepool, South Tyneside and North Yorkshire.They are a leading global organisation in the fields of hydraulic engineering, renewable energy and offshore projects.Description

  • The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to finding efficient and effective methods for transport and installation of the foundation and wind turbine components

  • The Mechanical Engineer will be pro-active, decisive and results driven person who can manage challenging projects in a structured way. A creative thinker with strong communication skills to effectively work in a team on multiple projects, together with:
    • Essential
  • A Civil / Mechanical / Offshore engineering degree, or equivalent
  • Willingness to occasionally travel nationally and internationally
    • Proven experience within a structural design environment must include
  • Detailed design and engineering of structures
  • Solutions to project deliverables
  • Able to produce structural calculations by hand and computer to current design codes
  • Able to offer technical support and advice during the project execution phase.
  • Knowledge of 3D / FEA software, i.e. Inventor and Ansys.
