Job Description

If you enjoy leading a team that creates a well-presented and safe environment, then join the team at The Bridge in Middlesbrough a as Maintenance Lead, where you will feel valued and supported.Working 37.5 hours a week, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and transport services which will see you deploy available resources to support the service users and staff at the site.You will organise and implement a planned preventative maintenance schedule which will see you prioritising curative maintenance and repair services, and optimise standards, availability and performance for the hospitals equipment, buildings and grounds.You will be responsible for ensuring the equipment and facilities are well stocked and fit for purpose, which will see you will regularly conduct audits to identify and prioritise curative maintenance and repair services.As the Maintenance Lead, you will manage the operation of the hospital vehicle, cost-effectively and efficiently to best meet the transport requirements. You will need a Full UK Driving License.A range of training opportunities are available that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations.*There is an out-of-hours aspect to this role, which will see you ensure that the on-call rota is coveredOther responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate records of the planned maintenance and test results, e.g. Equipment logs, fire alarm logs
  • Coordinate the installation and maintenance of hospital communication systems
  • Maintain a register of all authorised drivers for insurance purposes, ensuring that all drivers on the register meet the hospital requirements
  • Ensure that vehicles are roadworthy and at all times meet legal requirements, the safety of drivers and passengers being of paramount importance
  • To act as the hospital’s principal purchasing authority for building, decorating and maintenance materials, communication equipment and ward electrical equipment
To be successful as a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll need:
  • City and Guilds, and/or ONC/HND in the relevant technical qualification
  • Full driving licence
  • ISOH/NEBOSH Health and Safety or equivalent knowledge or skills
  • Supervisory and Management Certification
  • Supervisory and training skills
