Job Description

Reed specialist Logistics recruitment are delighted to be working with a premier Logistics company based in Middlesbrough to recruit for the role of Intermodal Logistics Planner.This role would be ideal for someone looking to break into the world of Logistics.

  • £20,000 - £25,000 (Depending on experience)
  • Middlesbrough
  • Office based
The Role:-
  • Ensure all intermodal bookings for shipping, barge and rail.
  • Prioritise bookings that require advance booking due to potential capacity issues.
  • Execute full booking details with attention to detail.
  • Track progress of all bookings from beginning to end.
  • Effectively communicate any changes, delays or disruptions to normal schedules and routings.
  • Ensure all relevant departments are advised of the impact of changes in a timely fashion.
  • Research new and potential services.
  • Assist with invoice processing of the intermodal supplier base.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service.
The Person:-
  • Competent in the use of I.T. system, outlook, excel etc
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Reasonable level of mathematics and ability to perform basic calculations
  • Previous roles in transport planning or within logistics industry desirable
  • Effective communicator, both internally and externally
  • Ability to manage time and execute all tasks in prioritised structure
  • Grow and develop relationships with suppliers
  • Able to withstand high pressure situations
  • Excellent team player
