Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Administrator to join a well-established family business based in Middlesbrough. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and communications skills with experience of working in a similarrole.Main duties will include:

  • Arranging and communicating daily installation and delivery appointment to installation teams, drivers and customer
  • Coordinating team activities to ensure the service provided meets the needs of the organisation and customers
  • Ensuring that resources are provided as appropriate for each job
  • Maintaining the Logistics Diary to make effective and economic use of resources
  • Organising schedules for each project ensuring that journey times are feasible, workloads are shared, and accommodation booked when appropriate.
  • Consulting with the Production Manager to ensure that products are ready for shipping on time
  • Maintaining an effective dialogue with other departments
  • Ensuring that other departments are updated on any information which may impact on their operations
  • Responding to customer queries, problems, and concerns, accepting ownership and ensuring that resolution is achieved to the customers satisfaction
  • Preparing all documentation required by the team and update the computer system to trigger the invoices
