Job Description

Loading Shovel Driver/ Operator who has experience operating mobile and static plant machinery is required to work Nights for a well-established recycling and manufacturing Company based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire.SALARY: £11.20 per hourLOCATION: Middlesbrough, North YorkshireJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentWORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday - 48 hours per week between the hours of 18:00 and 07:00 - NIGHTSKEY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates MUST have a licence to operate a Loading Shovel (Holding a secondary licence of a 360 Excavator or HGV would be beneficial but is not essential)JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Loading Shovel Driver/ Operator who has experience operating mobile and static plant machinery.Working as the Loading Shovel Driver/ Operator you will operate a range of mobile and static machinery, enabling the processing manufacture of wood-based products.Your responsibilities as the Loading Shovel Driver/ Operator will also involve carrying out general housekeeping within the site, ensuring it is kept clean and tidy and meets the Companys health and safety standards. You will also need to present strongsafety awareness when on site.As a successful candidate you MUST have a licence to operate a Loading ShovelCandidate Responsibilities:

  • Operating Mobile and static plant machinery
  • Loading of vehicles
  • Moving wood waste around site
  • Ensure that all loads are free from contamination and direct fellow colleagues to assist in this process
  • Be compliant with site health & safety procedures on site
  • Good Housekeeping
Candidate Attributes of the Loading Shovel Driver/ Operator:
  • Must have Loading Shovel licence
  • Holding a secondary licence of a 360 Excavator or HGV would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given
  • Ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels
  • Able to work within a small team
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Flexibility, confidence and use of initiative are essential, as the role requires quick thinking and the ability to change plans at short notice, enabling the department to offer an efficient and effective service
  • Good attention to detail
  • To be able to take charge and show authority
