Job description Teaching Assistant Level 2Empowering Learning requires a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with a Primary school in the Middlesbrough area. The role is 5 days a week 8.15am-15.15pm, but may become permanent for the right person to start ASAP.Duties:- Provide care and supervision for children in a classroom setting and be confident with behaviour management- Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities- Support childrens social, emotional, and cognitive development- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children- Communicate effectively with parents and provide updates on their childs progress- Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive learning environmentQualifications:- Previous experience working with toddlers or young children is preferred and have a Level 2 qualification- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team- Basic understanding of child development principles and practicesMust have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
