Job Description

Are you an experienced IT Support Technician Do you have experience of 1st Line Support, working on a Helpdesk Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent IT Support Technician, working for a highly reputable client based in Middlesbrough. Joining their IT Department, which provides support for over 200 users and consists of a Systems and Software department. The successful candidate will join their helpdesk to take on the role of first line support. Main duties will be taking support calls, resolving issues raised via helpdesk system and hardware configuration.IT Support Technician Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer first line support calls
  • Monitor incoming tickets
  • Assign software tickets to support or awaiting review
  • Talk staff through steps to help complete setup or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot systems, network, and hardware problems
  • Work on tickets until completion or escalate where required
  • Configure hardware operating systems and software
  • Create new user accounts and profiles
  • Prioritise and manage many open tickets at once
  • Carrying out some admin tasks i.e., raising invoices and booking out equipment etc.
  • IT Support Technician Applicants:
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Hold relevant qualifications such as a HND in IT, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ etc.
  • Have 2-3 years working on a helpdesk or in support
  • Have experience and knowledge of MS Server 2016, 2019
  • Have experience and knowledge of Windows 10, Exchange 2010, 2016, Office 365, Outlook 2016 and OpenOffice
  • Experience of Active Directory and Thin Clients
  • Experience of working in an RDSH Environment
  • Experience of working with Printers and Printer Servers
  • The role will also involve travelling to some of our clients sites around the country and therefore, candidates must hold a full clean driving license.Hours of work at Monday to Friday 8.30am until 5.30pm and Saturday 10am until 12pm.
