Job Description

Are you an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, with expertise in design phases on industrial projectsWould you like to work for an industry leading engineering firm who offer excellent career progressionOur client is an engineering firm who has made a commitment to support the energy transition and is rapidly expanding their capabilities within the low carbon and energy Transition sectors. This will be working on Mining, Mineral processing and Battery Materialsprojects, as Senior (Principal) Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a key role in early-stage concept and feasibility through to delivering full EPC and EPCM packages.You will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out instrumentation design engineering activities, including co-ordination with the instrumentation design and other discipline groups.
  • Ensuring that work complies with all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained.
  • Carrying out design work under direction from the Lead Instrumentation Engineer.
  • Innovative in design work with regard to minimisation of cost whilst maintaining technical integrity.
  • Perform instrumentation engineering design duties.
  • Duties will include equipment selection and specification, detail design in collaboration with designers and bid evaluation/ vendor document review and approval.
  • Checking and approval of documentation as required
You will have:
  • A degree in Control & Instrumentation required (or relevant subject); an advanced or supplementary degree would be an asset; ideally Chartered Engineer status.
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation packages and 3D Model Execution
  • 10 years (10 to 15 years) relevant experience
  • Knowledge of EPC execution would be an advantage
  • Team leadership capability, excellent technical skills, commercial awareness are essential.
