An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Applied Psychologist to join the Adult Acute Inpatient service in Teesside. The successful candidate will be an active member of the leadership team, working alongside other Applied Psychologists, as well as Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurse Consultants, Modern Matrons, Ward Managers and Clinical Leads. Your role will include supporting the inpatient teams in developing their psychological skills, knowledge and attitudes. You will achieve this through a range of supervisory, consultative, and service development and improvement interventions. It will be expected that you will have experience working in this area and knowledge and experience in trauma informed care. You will be expected to develop working relationships with colleagues working across AMH service in Teesside.Candidates should be experienced clinicians with excellent interdisciplinary working skills and interested in developing and delivering an innovative service. A proven track record of clinical leadership and supervisory experience is essential. Applicants need to be motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and resilient. Knowledge and experience of working with people with adults with complex mental health issues is essential. Team work is an important element of the job and you will need to demonstrate working effectively in a team and offering supervision to other professionals.Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. Work base will flexible across the Tees area.You will be required to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist.
