We are looking to recruit two full time ( 37.5 hrs per week) and one part time (18.75 hours per week) Healthcare Science Support worker posts to join the laboratory team working in the Cellular Pathology Department at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.The main purpose of the role includes the receipt of surgical specimens and the prompt entry of patient and specimen details on the Pathology computer system (ILab) and the retrieval and filing of slides and reports for multi-disciplinary (MDT) meetings. The role will also involve some general housekeeping tasks.The successful applicant must have excellent organisational skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work using their own initiative to meet tight deadlines. The ability for accurate data entry is a major requirement of the role.Proven medical laboratory experience will be an advantage.
