Job Description

The JobTo cover maternity, Head of Financial & Commercial Services, this job manages the external funding and subsidiaries. Hybrid working opportunity.General day to day:

  • Provide timely and accurate information and reports
  • Produce monthly accounts for the subsidiaries and oversee the balance sheet control accounts
  • Review the management accounts for the subsidiary companies and discuss with senior stakeholders prior to presentation to the Board
  • Maximise income streams including income from research and external grants for the organisation plus its subsidiaries
  • Compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements
  • Produce financial statements for the subsidiary at year end
The BusinessA long established Teesside organisationAbout You
  • Suited to either fully CCAB Qualified Accountant, Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience (with relevant experience)
  • Experience of management accounting and statutory accounts
  • Commercial experience is required
  • Exposure to grants and external funding is preferred
  • Education experience would be desirable.
