Experience in safe use of plant, equipment, PPE and can demonstrate knowledge of relevant appreciation of H & S and waste management legislation. Good verbal, I.T. and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Significant demonstrable experience in all forms of arboriculture. Good experience of working in a customer driven service and in ensuring continuous improvement. Able to achieve realistic targets, costs and time deadlines. Knowledge of tree preservation and conservation. Confidence in working at height and aptitude for working outdoors.Role description: To climb trees using ladders and climbing equipment to perform tree maintenance tasks, pruning, limb removal, line clearing, crown reduction and dismantling. Identification and mitigation of risk, production of on-site risk assessments and ensure safe working practice. To deliver all works to agreed quality standards within appropriate timescales / priorities and in line with customer needs / expectations and in line with the needs of the business. Operate and maintain all type of tree maintenance equipment such as chainsaws, brush cutters, stump grinders, chippers. To deliver high levels of health and safety compliance including reporting of all near misses and ensure all relevant P.P.E. is worn at all times. To assist the Arboriculture Surveyor in developing safe working practice. To ensure compliance with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 act. To deliver planned outcomes in line with the Operational Plans.Qualifications: A good standard of secondary education, particularly in English and Maths. Hold CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, CS48, First Aid at Work as well as relevant qualifications for Wood Chipper and Stump Grinder. Holds IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH Working Safely and/or NEBOSH National General Certificate or willing to work towards
