Job Description

Graduate CAD Designer required. My client are a specialist in the design and manufacture of transformers. Due to ongoing success, they are looking to expand their design team with a graduate. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors inElectrical or Mechanical Engineering and be eager to pursue a long term career in design and development within the power generation industry. You must also be based within commutable distance of Middlesbrough.Graduate CAD Designer Position Overview

  • Preparing electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Generating 2D and 3D drawings for colleagues and customers
  • Communicating with customers and design team to ensure transformer requirements are established
  • Sizing circuit conductors
  • Producing product operation and maintenance manuals
  • Creating product data sheets
  • New product development
  • Long term career and progression opportunities
Graduate CAD Designer Position Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Industry experience working within design is beneficial
  • Confident using 2D and 3D design software
  • Experience preparing electrical schematic and wiring diagrams is advantageous
  • Proficient sizing circuit conductors is advantageous
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of electrical distribution and protection within transformer enclosures is beneficial
  • Based within commutable distance of Middlesbrough
Graduate CAD Designer Position Remuneration
  • Salary £22,000 - £25,000 DOE
