Reed Engineering are proud to be partnering with a forward thinking housing company based in Middlesbrough to recruit for the role of GAS ENGINEER.£32,00037 Per week Deliver excellent customer service through excellent communication with residents and all other stakeholders in accordance with Thirteens objectives and values Communicate as required with management, other internal staff and contractors prior to, during, and on completion of works Maintain a safe and clean working environment: leaving the site/property clean, tidy and free from obstructions in line with Waste Management procedures and Health & Safety legislation Ability to organise own resources to achieve a standard of excellence, delivering high productivity for self, team and customers Ensure that appropriate materials are available in order to complete work right first time wherever possible Carry out allocated duties and record completion of works/findings via mobile device or line manager Participate in out of hours services and undertake overtime as and when required, in line with business need Have a flexible approach to working hours in order to meet customer needs, expectations and demand Signpost customers and stakeholders in relation to safeguarding, ASB, or other housing-related issues where possible, reporting identified issues to line management for further action where required Responsible for the appropriate use and condition of Company-provided assets (i.e. vehicles, PDAs, tools, equipment, PPE etc.) Work within the team or as an individual and to support the principle of providing a flexible multi skilled workforcePerson Specification:- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, verbally, electronically, and face to face Good understanding of Thirteens business activities with particular regard to the IT, Health & Safety, Environmental and Equality & Diversity requirements Ability to remain professional in a difficult or emergency situation Effective use of IT and media as appropriate (incl. PDAs) Flexibility to undertake duties at various locations and/or teams throughout the Companys areas of work. Experienced in the safe use of plant, equipment, PPE and can demonstrate the relevant appreciation of Health & Safety and Waste Management Legislation Good understanding of value for money principles TradePlus: Working as a TradePlus operative, you will be undertake minor works outside of your base trade in order to meet productivity targets as detailed in the relevant Guidance Document.
