An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates and Facilities Management Directorate to join our Estates Division and our small team of Fire Safety Advisors.Tees, Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust covers a large geographical area from Durham to Scarborough, across to North Yorkshire which encompasses York and surrounding areas, the trust has a large diversity of buildings and mental health care provision.This is a part time permanent post working 22.5 hours per week, over a 3 day period, Monday to Friday. The post requires a motivated, experienced individual with specific detailed knowledge in the field of Fire Safety. The Fire Safety Advisor role requires good communication skills and an ability to work under own initiative, key aspects of the role will include training of fire safety measures to the Trust’s staff and other related fire management duties such as fire audits and risk assessment reviews.The Fire Safety Advisor will act in an advisory capacity for Directors, Managers and other employees within the Trust and associated organisations, promoting and developing a positive fire safety culture. You will have an excellent working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and Department of Health HTM’s relating to Fire, also knowledge of relevant Building Control Guidance documents. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and a high degree of IT literacy and written English is required.This important role within our organisation will be based in our Roseberry Park office covering the immediate locality, however, the successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach as they may be required to travel to other localities within the trust.Anyone wishing to make an informal enquiry should contact Ken Tench or George Watson on .
