Job Description

Your new roleI am delighted to be working exclusively with an exciting business based in Middlesbrough who are seeking to recruit an ambitious qualified Finance Manager. This role will report into the Group Finance Director and will involve working closely with other managementon site, this position is an all round role covering many aspects of financial and management accounting.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving, posting and seeking authorisation of purchase invoices and weekly payment run.
  • Producing sales invoices in a timely manner, working with customers to resolve any queries.
  • Completing bank reconciliations.
  • Implementing of a robust month-end process to cover accurate management accounts with variance analysis and financial operational KPIs in a timely manner.
  • Assisting the General Manager in the production of the Board report ahead monthly meetings.
  • Documentation of all financial procedures.
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Process monthly payroll, including auto-enrolment pensions.
  • Completing the year end process and assisting with the audit.
  • Assisting with preparation of the annual budget and other adhoc forecasting.
  • Producing and managing an accurate 13 week rolling cash flow forecast.
  • Overseeing the completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analysis work as required to support decision making in the business.
  • Build and maintaining good working relationships with senior management team and assisting the GM to ensure financial controls remain in place across the company.
You will be/have
  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least three years relevant experience.
  • Good IT skills including Excel and Sage Line 50.
  • An inquisitive nature and willingness to engage with site operations.
  • Able to work as part of a small, supportive team.
