Job Description

A new position has arisen for an ambitious Finance Manager to join a successful company based in Middlesbrough.As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial health of a company, producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research.Duties include:

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Payments/receipts to the sales or purchase ledgers
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts
  • Preparation and submission quarterly VAT returns
  • Maintaining & updating fixed asset records
  • Process all aspect of payroll both weekly and monthly
  • Managing nominal ledger journals
  • Producing budgets and forecasts
  • Managing cash flow and bank balances
  • Managing & administering the company pension scheme
  • Planning & managing the pensions auto-enrolment
  • Dealing with Companies House and National Statistics returns
  • Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audits
  • Maintain petty cash.
  • To undertake any other reasonable requests as directed by management.
  • Generate reports and other information
To be considered for this position, you must have knowledge of;
  • Basic accounting principles
  • Be able to reconcile control account to Trial Balance Stage and experience of producing and post journal entries.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience in producing monthly management accounts
  • Have Experience Sage Accountancy Package (Sage 50) and Excel Spreadsheets
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times
  • Have excellent telephone manner and communication skills to deal with both internal and external sources
