Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU

  • 38 hours basic per week; Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm with 30-minute lunch break, Fridays 7.30am to 1.30pm
  • Salary £27, 071.20 - £13.70 per hour, plus Overtime at time and half and double time (as/when required)

THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group is seeking a Final Inspection Test Assistant to work for our client in Middlesbrough. The organisation in questions use various Welding, Fabrication and Machining techniques to serve clients predominantly found within the Oil &Gas sector.THE ROLE
  • To support the Quality and Operations Team in assisting in final inspection activities to ensure all items manufactured by the business to customers specifications and expectations.
  • To control and coordinate the delivery of customer required documentation on-time and right 1st time.
  • To build and maintain a positive relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Facilitate inspection activities between shop floor
  • Gathers, complies and verifies information and enters it accurately into documents such as reports, presentations or forms, and office systems such as databases or spreadsheets.
  • Communication with key internal stakeholders on a timely basis to ensure the business can adjust where necessary to meet our Customers delivery requirements
  • Communication on a professional basis to internal and external customers
  • Identify and manage priority issues whilst demonstrating the ability to work under pressure
  • Perform tests including external/internal hydrostatic
  • Assembly of test components
  • Complete all documentation associated with client/in-house testing
  • Setting up parts for Post Weld Heat Treatment
  • Hardness Testing
  • Stamping
THE PERSON
  • Good IT skills
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical / Hydraulic systems
  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Hydrostatic pressure testing
  • Familiar with Bolting/Torquing and ring type joint
  • Mechanical minded
  • Knowledge of Post Weld Heat Treatment
  • Knowledge of Hardness Testing
  • Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Good and effective communicator
  • Team working
  • Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm
  • Highly adaptable, quick to pick up new skills with ability to manage work in a timely manner in time pressured situations
