Are you a recent Environmental Science Graduate looking for your next moveDo you want to make a difference within a business who are committed to reducing their environmental impacts with a progressive carbon reduction plan ahead of their competitors Then look no further.Working within a team of 7 environmental consultants across various parts of the business you will be supporting colleagues to develop their approach to bring about measurable and demonstrable improvements to their environmental impacts. This role is availableon a remote basis with a need for training and meetings in the office of up to 4-5 times per month*You will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a group wide approach to measure, manage and improve their environmental impacts.Key duties: Support the development of a group wide environmental aspects, risk and legislation register. Working with internal teams to identify areas of risk and agree methods of mitigation Support the carbon footprint calculation process, to include the capture, recording and measurement of all emission sources within the organisations carbon footprint matrix. Promote and raise awareness with internal and external stakeholders approach to managing environmental impacts and the wider climate change agenda. Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, celebration of success and training, Seek and build beneficial relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities and environmental specialist to support the development of my clients approach and identify partnership and funding opportunities. Work closely with the Environmental Impacts Manager to ensure the successful delivery of environmental projects taking the lead on specific projects as appropriate Stay up to date with current environmental and carbon legislation in addition to awareness of the developing climate change agenda and their relevance to the work of the Environmental Team Deputising where required on all matters relating to environmental impacts in support of the Manager. Production of reports as required.Qualifications:Degree level qualification, ideally in Environmental or equivalent /professional experience IEMA Practitioner or working towardsThe successful candidate will have: Be able to demonstrate a drive and passion for improving their environmental impact Demonstrable knowledge & experience delivering environmental management systems Demonstrable knowledge of environmental and carbon legislation and an awareness of the broader climate change agenda Experienced in performance management, able to undertake research/analyse data, identify trends and variances Experienced in data gathering, able to bring together data from a variety of sources and stakeholders A skilled influencer able to positively challenge and communicate effectively with external stakeholders, customers, and staff using relevant knowledge and communication mediums to create buy-in and co-operation to get the best outcomes for the business andits customers
