We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client within manufacturing for an Electrically biased Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis, based in Middlesbrough.Established in 1979, Central Employment is the oldest independent recruiter in the Northeast with over 40 years of industry expertise. Specializingin temporary, contract and permanent recruitment across a broad spectrum of industries; supplying staff with full UK coverage.Overview of the role• Carry out breakdown of repairs to production equipment, plant, and services as requested.• Carrying out TPMs and ensuring documentation is completed.• Keep daily records of all work completed and all work pending.• Monitor stores stock and usage.• Always apply best practice operation maintaining high levels of health & safety, hygiene, and quality standards.• Progress and complete project work on siteWhat we are looking for• Have a minimum of 3 years experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.• Understand and be able to read mechanical/electrical schematic drawings.• Be experienced in the use of PPM systems.• Work on their own initiative.• Work towards improved efficiency in the maintenance department.• Be an effective team player and possess excellent communication skills.• Must be willing to be flexible for the company and work occasional overtime shiftsAdvantageous• Proven electrical skills with knowledge in the plastics / injection moulding industry preferred• Hold a 18th Edition Certificate is preferred but will accept 17th.• PAT testing desirableSalary and shift information• £35,000 per annum (+ performance bonus)• To work a 2-shift, 12 hours rotating pattern consisting of days and nights, with potential 4 shift pattern within the next yearAverage 42-hour weeksBenefits:• Company pension scheme.• Holiday package.• Annual bonus potential.• Free on-site parking• Flexible hours to suit• Courses to develop your skills and advance your knowledge as a technician• Opportunity to travel to the USA and other parts of the world to our sister plants to help develop the business
