Job Description

.net Developer

  • Teeside / Remote working from home
  • 10 month contract
  • £530 per day inside IR35
  • 4 vacancies
Leading insurance provider is actively recruiting for an experienced .net developer to work help develop solutions to the required quality, design, coding, performance and security standards, in a fast-paced agile environment.Other responsibilities required for the position of .net Developer / Microsoft Developer / Analyst Programmer
  • Test solutions thoroughly and prioritise the use of automated testing standards and techniques.
  • Ensure quality and continuous improvement through design reviews, code reviews and retrospectives.
  • Take collective ownership for the platform as a whole, responding to its needs for stability and availability and by being consistent with agreed platform principles.
  • Provide technical analysis of user requirements to facilitate accurate story estimation.
  • Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge and ensure the continuous growth of our community-oriented environment.
  • Evaluate the potential automation of software and system solutions to ensure eradication of toil wherever possible.
  • Understand the impact of unplanned work such as defects and rework and take appropriate measures to reduce this wherever possible.
  • Provide clear and accurate Route Cause Analysis on all resolved system bugs. Demonstrate appropriate steps to improve platform documentation as well as automation and integration tests to reduce likelihood of repeated instances of the defect.
Essential experience for the position of .net Developer / Microsoft Developer / Analyst Programmer
  • Previous experience within a software engineering and development role.
  • A strong understanding of Clean Code practices, Object Orientation, SOLID Principles and Design Patterns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, in English, and can adapt your style to meet the needs of your audience.
  • Experience in building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
