Door EstimatorMiddlesbrough, North YorkshireAbout UsMetador has created a range of steel, glazed, safety and acoustic doors that meet some exacting standards and the needs of some niche business sectors.Since 2004 we’ve been shaking up the market with our incredible solutions and have a broad array of customers from the UK Government (we supplied the Houses of Parliament), to public transport systems, leisure and tourism facilities and retail outlets.We’re now looking for a Door Estimator to join our team in Middlesbrough and support our continuing expansion.The Benefits- Salary of £24,000 (increasing as probation and final training are completed)- 20 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays increasing 1 day per year up to 24 days- Pension- Other benefitsThis is the ideal role for an estimating professional with an eye for detail and strong IT skills to advance their career with our leading company.Operating at the forefront of the industry, we are dedicated to growing our national footprint and have already seen an impressive increase in growth over the past five years.So, if you are looking for an engaging role with plenty of prospects and a great package on offer, we are waiting to hear from you.The RoleAs a Door Estimator, you will work as part of an established team to prepare and send customers detailed estimates for new doors including ironmongery and vision panels.Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will read and understand technical drawings and use the information to produce presentable estimates. You’ll utilise our quotation system, amending and upgrade estimates to meet requirements and take into account any additional variations.Your role will also involve:- Dealing with customers via the phone- Evaluating specifications for compliance- Offering suggestions for specifications that will suit a customers’ budgetAbout YouTo be considered as a Door Estimator, you will need:- Previous estimating experience- To be a competent IT user and proficient with Excel and Outlook- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail- To be proactive, able to work on your own initiative and also follow instructions when given- Excellent communication skills- Commercial awarenessIt would also be useful (but not essential) if you have experience gained in the door industry or have knowledge of door ironmongery.Other organisations may call this role Interiors Estimator, Estimator, Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Sales Estimator, Windows and Doors Estimator, Ironmongery Estimator, or SmallWorks Estimator.Webrecruit and Metador are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
