Job Description

THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group is seeking Ramp Agents to work within Teesside Airport. The organisation in question is going through heavy growth and you will form part of a growing team to provide runway support services. This role is an all-encompassing rolewith a wide variation of duties. The position is also permanent from day one.To efficiently manage the entire arrival and departure process overseeing all activities to ensure a safe working environment and achieve an on-time departure. Dispatchers will require to understand various airline systems and communicate with flight andcabin crew at the aircraft, also ensure that the aircraft departs with all passengers, baggage, and cargo.THE ROLE
  • Maintain applicable safety and performance standards.
  • Develop and build good relations with customers and Airport authorities.
  • Report irregularities and take appropriate action.
  • Responsible for auditing fuel ticket information for accuracy.
  • Prepare flight paperwork for crew including printing of flight plans, weather reports, passenger lists etc.
  • Communicate aircraft fuel and load data between flight crew and load control departments.
  • Prioritise tasks and manage the turnaround of an aircraft from arrival to departure.
  • Operate a variety computer systems and handheld devices.
  • Deal with aircraft weight and balance calculations as required.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
  • Comply with all UK/Ireland/EU legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide general administrative support to the Ground Handling Team and business.
  • Provide holiday/absence cover for colleagues within the team when necessary.
  • Travel to other sites may also be required.
  • Flexibility with shifts to cover business critical needs.

THE PERSON
  • Within your role as Operations/Dispatch Agent, you will be required to partake in a training programme which will allow you to manage the ramp agents in line with the relevant practices/procedures.
  • You must hold a degree of fitness as this role incorporates baggage lifting
  • Driving license will also provide beneficial
  • Must be able to pass a DBS check
THE PACKAGE This is a permanent role. The package is negotiable with experience and will be divulged at interview stage.The majority of ramp agents work between the hours of 7am-7pm, however due to airport operations, candidates must be flexible to accommodate 4am starts and 11pm finish times as per the needs of the business.
