Any applicants that require reasonable adjustments throughout the selection process/ further flexibility are able contact us directly to inform us of any additionalsupport that is required.Role Purpose:As the Appliance and Metering Lead, you will be accountable for developing and agreeing the product vision and roadmap for NGNs Hydrogen Village proposition.You will need to be able to work strategically and be customer led whilst being tactical in your approach to make sure all the detail is well thought through of your proposition.Having strong consumer knowledge and experience within the home service/energy sector will be highly desired.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Develop & Operationalise the Hydrogen Village proposition
  • Define the product roadmap and shape how we will evolve the village consumer offer and work with engagement team to deploy this vision
  • Ensure that the consumer offer deliver high customer satisfaction scores and drive a high conversion rate
  • Commercial model & plan the makeup of the proposition
  • Own the marketing, benefits and messaging of the proposition to make it desirable for customers
  • Report on the success of the product and be able to work agile to change the offer where we need to and we learn
  • Be led by customer insights and research as to what the offer needs to deliver and build this into your planned deliverables
  • Managing and reporting accurate project costs with narrative to Head of Energy Futures to enable full audit trail and project financial reconciliation to the customer.
  • Managing and leveraging relationships between stakeholder teams to ensure project objectives are delivered within agreed timelines
  • Work closely with the finance team to track all Programme financials, forecasts and spend to ensure that the overall programme remains within budget and on track.
  • Support the Head of Energy Futures in developing appropriate programme summaries, board documents and business cases.
  • Co-ordinate and establish the programme document libraries, data sharing and archiving strategies, ensuring that summaries are up to date for communication. Ensure that completed projects are successfully archived and available for audit if needed.
Qualifications / Experience required:
  • Chartered Engineer, or Incorporated Engineer with membership of IGEM orequivalent, working towards Chartered status within 24 months
  • Knowledge of the energy sector and various net zero technologies
  • Leader of proposition & product development
  • Understanding of the commercial & operational requirements for field-based customer offers
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality work in a timely manner
  • Clear and confident communicator (verbal and written) with business acumen and ability to adapt communication style in given situationse.g., in dispute conflict situations be able to deflate situations / move things forward appropriately.
  • Stakeholder and customer management, ability to confidently facilitate meetings and conduct presentations in an engaging and influential approach
  • Developing home service/energy products
  • Delivering new operating models and field team businesses
  • Using customer research, tools and data to support decision making
  • Working with complex engineering assets
  • Strong monitoring and evaluation skills.
  • Great communicator, influencer, and collaborator
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable sharing of best practice across all organisations.
