Job Description

We are working alongside our client in the search for up to 5 Administration Assistants, for an ongoing role in a well established government based business based in Middlesborough. Working Monday to Friday with hours between 8am-6pm, averaging 37.5-40 hours per week, we are looking for knowledgable, proactive candidates to fill a number of admin positions, to help cover an uplift in the business workload, with an immediate start for the successful candidates. Due to the nature and sensitivity of the work, a DBS is required. This can be processed by us if required.Duties and Responsibilities include:* Undertake a range of tasks e.g. reception duties; answering telephone, face to face enquiries, liaising with relevant staff, dealing with visitors. * Dealing with routine unexpected problems and situations within the service.* Photocopying, filing, completion of standard forms, responding to routine correspondence.* Set up and maintain manual and computerised information systems.* Sort and distribute mail.* Reconciliation and processing orders* Planning and scheduling of events/appointments.* Operate relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. word, excel, databases, spreadsheets, internet).* Maintain stock and supplies, ordering of stationary and other supplies.* Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to the job holders area of work.* Where appropriate provide supervision for other staff carrying out routine administrative tasks.* Support the role of other staff.* Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required. * Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.The clients essential requirements and knowledge for the role are: * Good numeracy/literacy skills.* Level 2 Business Admin or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline* General clerical/administrative/financial work* Effective use of ICT packages* Use of relevant equipment/resources* Good keyboard skills* Good interpersonal skills* Work constructively as part of a teamWorking initially on a temporary basis, with a possible permanent placement, upon a successful temp period, we are offering an hourly rate of £10.00ph, plus holiday pay, an optional pension scheme, weekly pay and the possibility of similar roles in other working environments in the Middlesborough area.
