Job Description

Electrical Test and Commissioning Engineer - Merseyside£30,000 - £35,000 | Travel Allowance | Overtime inc. Double-time

    • Our client designs, develops and manufactures bespoke, high precision equipment and machinery used in the pharmaceutical industry. They are a global business with sites across the US, Europe and Asia. They are heavily involved in R&D and offering bespoke products to their customers.Culturally, although they are a global business, it is the type of business where you walk through the doors and everyone smiles at you and wants to help. Many of the employees also have similar hobbies within engineering such as building and rebuilding cars and motorcycles so its a nice environment to be in.This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to grow and develop their career, you will be working closely with a senior member of the team who is retiring in the next few years, so is keen to pass on any knowledge they have about the products.You will work on the initial assembly/build at the state-of-the-art facility on Liverpool, product test including PAT/FAT and through to installation and commissioning of new builds, working alongside the mechanical engineers. This role will require some international travel.
  • Qualified electrical engineer (Apprenticeship/ HNC/HND/Degree).
  • Experience working in electrical maintenance, PPMs.
  • Experience installing and commissioning equipment/machinery.
  • Experience of electrical testing and field wiring.
  • Knowledge of PLCs advantageous, although training provided.
  • Knowledge of calibration and instrumentation beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills.
    • In return, you will receive a good packaging which includes travel allowance and over-time, equating to a good OTE, plus being mentored by the person leaving this job.
