Job Description

Year 6 Intervention TeacherFull-Time PositionTemporary position20th February 2023 - 31st August 2023Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Year 6 Intervention Teacher for a local primary school in Huyton.As a Year 6 Intervention Teacher, you will be responsible for leading targeted intervention sessions for small groups of Year 6 students who require additional support in order to reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher andsenior leadership team to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.Key responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering targeted intervention sessions for small groups of Year 6 students
  • Assessing students progress and providing regular feedback to the class teacher and senior leadership team
  • Collaborating with other teachers and support staff to deliver a holistic approach to student support
  • Utilising a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate students
  • Keeping accurate records of student progress and providing regular reports to the school leadership team
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching strategies and best practices.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Strong experience of teaching in Year 6
  • Experience of working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of the primary national curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • A positive and proactive approach to student learning
