Job Description

Financial Controller | Merseyside (Hybrid 4 days in, 1 remote) | £65,000-£70,000 plus bonus, flexible start and finish time, modern and newly refurbished HQ, excellent staff discount and benefits | PE backed eCommerce, retail, wholesaleZachary Daniels Finance are proud to be exclusively partnering with this leading Private Equity backed ecommerce business on track to be one one of the North Wests biggest success stories in coming years. The business is due to grow in double digits for the foreseeable future.About the roleWe are looking to appoint a hungry, hard working and impressive Financial Controller, a leader of the future. The Financial Controller will report into an experienced CFO with impressive pedigree, a great coach and mentor to learn from.Key responsibilities

  • Management and ownership the day to day running of the finance department
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and teams across the business both in and out of finance
  • Coordinate and execute Budget, Forecast and Planning process
  • Build strong relationships with key internal and external contacts including exec team, banks and advisors
  • Coach, develop and manage the finance team
  • Own audit relationship and year end process
  • Prepare and publish accurate and timely weekly and monthly financial information and KPIs
  • Improving current financial processes and systems, identifying areas of improvement
  • Oversee the Finance Data Reporting Suite and improve it over time
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Person profile:
  • Fully qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Proven experience and an impressive track record as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance
  • Highly organised and excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent management skills and ability to influence at various levels
  • Self-assurance and integrity to report into senior leaders
  • Driven, hungry and fast paced, always delivering.
