Job Description

This global electromechanical engineering solutions company is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer for their workshop. The role will be to repair and overhaul a wide selection of industrial process pumps, motors, gearboxes and associates rotatingequipment both in-house in the workshop and on site. Your role will include: -

  • Operating within a busy electro-mechanical workshop, and on site with key clients locations in the Northwest geographical region.
  • Carry out general overhaul and repair of all rotating equipment including motors (AC/DC) pumps of types, gearboxes (mainly inline) and other rotating equipment such as generators
  • This role ensures all repairs are carried out in a safe, consistent, and professional manner.
  • The purpose of the role is to carry out rotating equipment repairs for the clients customers
  • To repair and overhaul a wide selection of industrial rotating equipment in-house and on site.
  • Participate in call out Rota as required - normally one in 7 or 8
  • Rewinding (ideally if you have that experience) as well as cleaning, assembling, and fitting new bearings and sealings and general motor repairs
  • Working on site as well as the workshop.
  • Working within the current health & safety guidelines and site requirements.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • Carrying out diagnostics dismantling, checking, stripping, and stripping motors, bearings, sealings, for wear and general diagnostics, finding out whats caused it to fail
  • Accurately fill in the job reports and cards correctly to provide a quote for customers
  • On-site customer work includes disconnecting motors, and installing pumps and laser alignments
  • Rewinding would be ideal as an extra responsibility
To apply you must have: -
  • Experience in the repair of industrial process pumps, motors (AC/DC), gearboxes and other rotating equipment including generators
  • Good knowledge and understanding the diagnostics
  • Rewinding experience would be ideal but not essential
  • A time-served electro-mechanical engineer with a relevant NVQ or other engineering qualification
  • Experience within an electro-mechanical engineering workshop is essential and ideally site-based work
  • Proficient use of MS Windows
  • Ideally 4 years plus relevant experience
Whats on offer: -
  • Overtime which is time and a half and double pay
  • £31,689.68 per annum salary (15.23 per hour) plus overtime
  • 8 - 4.30 pm Monday to Friday
