Job Description

Adele Carr are currently seeking a highly motivated and organised individual for a Temporary 6 month contract role as a Buyer/ Administrator. This role will be based in Knowsley and will provide a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.This position offers a unique blend of administrative duties and exposure to buying activities, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill set in a dynamic industry.Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to track and expedite the delivery of goods and services, ensuring they arrive on time and meet quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with vendors, providing updates on order status, addressing any issues or delays, and fostering strong relationships.
  • Assist with sourcing and buying activities, including vendor research, price comparisons, and negotiation support.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance and operations, to facilitate smooth order processing and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the procurement function.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a procurement or purchasing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement principles, including vendor management, purchasing processes, and expediting techniques.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
