Job Description

Learn more at maximusuk.co.uk.About the RoleThe Digital Literacy Champion (DLC) will build strong sustainable partnerships with organisations and deliver promotional and outreach sessions to engage individuals on the programme. The DLC will subsequently undertake eligibility checks, initial assessments/ profiling on referred candidates, to develop tailored action plans and delivery high quality 1:1s and groups sessions to develop the financial and digital literacy skills of individuals with no / low level digital skills and those requiring first stepfinancial advice and support. The DLC will also work with, coach, and support other members of staff with digital queries in productivity suites (email, calendar documents, spreadsheets, databases) such as Microsoft Office or Google.Key Duties

  • Conduct digital literacy sessions with customers remotely using co-browsing software
  • Coaching people through user interfaces or systems
  • Monitor customer feedback and be a champion for digital literacy in the Central Support Function
  • Signpost customers to CPN partners or for digital access funding where appropriate
  • Conduct training sessions to improve the digital literacy of internal colleagues
  • Create regular digital literacy assessments for colleagues and customers to assess further training that might be needed
What we are looking forEssential
  • Exceptional Digital Skills
  • Good standard of maths, English and IT
  • Proven track record of coaching and or mentoring unemployed individuals or similar experience
  • Proven track record of working with unemployed adults that facilitate positive outcomes and progression, including progression to further education and employment is desirable
  • Proven track record of providing information and advice
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to a wide range of communication and learning styles
  • Strong interpersonal skills, specifically around listening, questioning, building relationships, motivation and demonstrating initiative
  • Influencing skills that promote commitment and action to improve candidate independence
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate contractual paperwork and reports
  • Planning, problem solving, organisation skills and the ability to work under own initiative
