body {font: normal 400 13px/16px Open Sans,Helvetica Neue,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;color:#333;margin:10px;}p,span,div,b,i,u{ line-height: 120% !important; font-family: Open Sans,Helvetica Neue,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif !important; } Role: Database AdministratorLocation: Fully remote (1/ fortnight in the office for team meetings)Salary: Up to £55k depending on the level of experienceIf youre fed up with getting passed rubbish projects, not having the support you need to do your job to the best of your ability, and having no real career progression or training, then you should apply for this role.I know its a blunt opener, but I cant think of a witty way to say; youre being underappreciated and that should stop because youre great. Heres how.Im recruiting for a company in Leicester, and they need a DBA.Theyll be good to you. They have some great projects to get stuck into- both internal and external- because a few years ago some really great, forward-thinking people in their tiny IT dept decided to champion tech to the board of Directors, and they got the go-ahead to put techat the heart of the company, and its working; they are doing better than ever before. They have done -and are continuing to make the lives of their non-IT colleagues better by improving the systems/ apps they use better. They are delivering new external applications to ameliorate the experience of their users.Whilst data will be your baby, you may even dream about it, in reality, this is where you will be able to make an impact. You will also get to work on some pretty cool projects, such as being involved in the architecture of the data and migrating to thecloud host. There will be some support work which is required, however, once the full team is in place this will be every fourth sprint and you will get the opportunity to spend the rest of the time on project work.Whilst you will be data-driven, ideally, you will be able to understand how it works from an infrastructure perspective, experience with windows is great and if you have a little knowledge of Linux then thats a bonus! There is a huge focus on automationwithin the business so any exposure to PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform and the cloud is a huge tick. They have a number of technical teams, filled with people that love what they do, and are blinking great at it.They are genuinely committed to being one of the best companies to work for in terms of their people, tech, projects, and beautiful office (with free parking and lots of treats in the kitchen). If you would like to learn more about this role, give me a shout at the contact details provided, or if youre fully bought in, apply now!Welcome to the next step in your career.
