Job Description

The roleAn excellent opportunity has become available with TC East Midlands for a Semi Senior Accountant.We are flexible on the location around the East Midlands area and the role will be office based in either the Melton Mowbray or Ibstock office at least 2 days a week.Reporting directly to the Partner, key responsibilities are:

  • responsibility for a mixed client portfolio comprising of sole traders to medium size limited companies
  • accounts preparation including bookkeeping
  • assisting with tax returns
  • client relationship management
  • assisting with corporation tax preparation
  • involvement in audit
  • ad hoc work to support the Partner
The candidateWe are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
  • AAT Level 4 qualified as a minimum
  • ACCA / ACA part qualified is desirable
  • minimum of 2-3 years accountancy practice experience including bookkeeping
  • sound cloud accounting system knowledge: experience in Sage, Xero, CCH
  • ability to work under pressure and meet targets/deadlines
  • ability to develop strong client relationships
  • good understanding of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel to an advanced level
  • hard working, enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills
  • must have own car and full driving licence.
The packageA generous remuneration package includes:
  • £22,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
