Job Description

Fork Lift DriverLocation: Melton MowbrayPay and Hours of work:

  • Salary: £12.00 per hour.
  • Shift Pattern (4 on 4 off) 12 hours. (7am- 7pm/7pm- 7am)
  • Overtime opportunities.

Overview:Working for a Global FM company performing the role of Industrial Waste Operative you would be responsible for the management of waste and cleanliness of all areas of operations, waste containers and bins on our clients manufacturing site. This would involvethe use of on-site transport, chemicals, pressure washers and other cleaning equipment to ensure a safe working environment.You will also be required to drive a counterbalance forklift truck and operate ultra-high pressure water jetting equipment, experience is preferable, however, all training will be provided.Requirements:
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence would be beneficial.
  • Good level of physical fitness as role involves lifting/carrying cleaning chemicals and transporting cleaning equipment around site
  • Be able to work as part of a team but also have the initiative to manage own area and workload
  • Be able to adhere to agreed health and safety requirements
  • The ability to react quickly to changes in daily activities
  • Be able to work in warm and cold environments
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Computer literate (training provided)
  • Flexible approach to work and hours.
  • Right to work documentation
Work activitiesYour work would include:
  • Working towards a daily/weekly cleaning schedule
  • The use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Move waste containers around site via a tractor unit and FLT to process.
  • Wash and clean bins, and maintain optimum performance of site effluent screening plant
  • Record accurate waste data
  • Ensure that all work is completed to required standard and in a timely and safe manner
  • Following the correct procedures for handling chemicals
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required by the needs of the business.
