Job Description

Employee Relations Specialist7 Months assignment£15.38 Our client is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist, someone who can take a stand-alone approach to HR advisory work. Who has specialist knowledge of employee relations topics rather than generalist HR experience. Someone who can work remotely, builds good relationships, is resilient and is able to work well in a team.OverviewThe Employee Relations Specialist will operate cross segment within a sub region of a country. They will support Line Managers and HR colleagues with the deployment of Employee Relations processes including disciplinary, grievance, performance management and separations. Responsibilities include building trust, credibility and collaborative relationships with line managers and the wider HR team. Mitigate risk and minimise adverse impact to the organisation through proper application of policies, practices and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Resolve issues and address client needs to ensure situations are resolved fairly, objectively and consistently.Key Responsibilities

  • Support Line Managers in the deployment of Employee Relations processes across the UK and Ireland Associate population.
  • Manage Employee Relations programs and initiatives.
  • Design and support the deployment of Employee Relations policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Work with Business Partners and Line Managers to implement integrated Employee Relations products and services
  • Coach and advise HR Business Partners and line managers and associates.
  • Make recommendations regarding improvement to policies, practices and procedures focused on ensuring legal compliance, best practice awareness, consistency, effectiveness and capability.
  • Deliver capability building programs for line managers and HR Business Partners.
  • Partner with legal counsel to represent the business in legal and governmental proceedings.
  • Identify employee relations trends in area of responsibility and partner with ER Lead on appropriate action.
  • Education & Professional Qualification
  • Minimum qualification: University degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources, Labour/Industrial
  • Relations/ Legal.
  • Preferred qualification: Combination of education and experience preferred
  • Knowledge/Experience
  • Recent experience in giving disciplinary, grievance and performance management advice.
  • Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals across all levels of the organisation.
  • Knowledge in applicable employment law.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and own discrete areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and work effectively while managing competing projects and/or demanding clients.
