Priory Brain Injury Services (PBIS) provide highly specialised treatment programmes for people with acquired brain injury (ABI) grounded on national guidance and research; from acute medical rehabilitation and neurobehavioural rehabilitation through to long-term continuing care.The diversity of our services allows a seamless care pathway for our patients as their rehabilitation needs change. Priorys Brain Injury Services is focused on using data to inform best practice, individualise care plans and measure patient outcomesPBIS has been successfully delivering neurobehavioural rehabilitation and making a positive difference to people’s lives since 1985 to people with ABI, whose challenging behaviour prevents attainment of their maximum rehabilitation potential and personal autonomy.Burton Park is a 50 bedded inpatient specialist neuro-rehabilitation service for treating and discharging people with complex neuropsychiatric needs. It can admit patients detained under the Mental Health Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and on an informal basis.The site is split across 3 units:• Warwick Lodge has recently undergone a full refurbishment and specialises in providing support and care for people living with Huntington’s Disease.• Cleves Lodge specialises in ABI and neurobehavioural disability (including slow stream rehabilitation) and Progressive Neurological Conditions such as Dementia• Dalby Unit - Female only unit, specialising in ABI and Progressive Neurological ConditionsBurton Park is populated by transdisciplinary teams composed of psychologists, doctors, therapists, nurses, rehabilitation assistants and support staff. The Clinical Psychologist will work under the supervision of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist who leads the clinical programme.Our Clinical Psychologist role involves supporting the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in-Overseeing the specialised neurobehavioural rehabilitation programme-Delivering clinical neuropsychology into the service, including preparing timely clincial reports and data collection.-Actively engaging with and contributing to appropriate local networks-Ensuring the suitability of referrals made to the service quickly, efficiently and helpfully-Overseeing the routinely collated service level clinical outcome measures to make certain that Burton Park is effective, and where necessary identify areas for continual improvement in the quality of the therapeutic programme-Contributing to the supervision and specialist training of members of the transdisciplinary team-Establishing and maintaining a research culture within the service.To be successful as Clinical Psychologist, you’ll needProfessional Qualifications & Memberships-Recipient of a BPS accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent-Registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the HCPCProfessional Competencies & Experience-Experience of working with individuals with ABI or progressive neurological conditions such as dementia and huntingtons disease .-Experience of working with severe challenging behaviour-Advocate of positive behaviour support frameworks such as neurobehavioural rehabilitation-Skills to assess, formulate, intervene and evaluate complex cases, requiring the ability to manage multifaceted information, working in conjunction with service users and the transdisciplinary team, and drawing from a range of applicable therapeutic, evidence-based psychological therapies-Experience in identifying, measuring and reducing risk behavioursPersonal Skills & Qualities-A professional who can form positive relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders to effectively deliver a quality service About us As one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services to adults and young people, Priory Group promise a challenging and fulfilling career with the support of a world class organisation willing to invest in your development.Across our network of hospitals, residential care homes, education facilities and supported living services, we are making a real and lasting difference to the lives of the people we support.
