Job Description

Multi-skilled Maintenance EngineerMarket leaders BSW Timber Solutions and Bayram Timber are recruiting for many new positions to be based at their Melton plants. The positions have opened following their acquisitions earlier this year by BSW Group, the UKs largest forestry and sawmillingbusiness.Formerly known as SCA, BSW Timber Solutions is a leading timber manufacturer and distributor to the DIY, and Builders Merchant markets. Its modern production and warehouse facilities provide high quality machined softwood products to the UKs vital buildingmaterial and joinery market. Bayram Timber is a market-leading supplier of timber products into the UKs caravan and leisure home sector operating from a 17-acre site directly next door to BSW Timber Solutions near the Ferriby Foreshore. The combined annualturnover of BSW Timber Solutions and Bayram Timber is £180 million.We now looking for 4 experienced multi-skilled engineers to join our growing Engineering team who will be an integral part of the two businesses. We require multi-skilled engineers, with an electrical bias preferably from a high-volumeproduction manufacturing or sawmilling environment.Typical responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking reactive maintenance duties.
  • Coordinating spares stock levels.
  • Working closely with production management to identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practice with machine operators.
  • New equipment installation.
You will be a highly driven and determined individual who is able to solve problems and provide solutions, as this is the main part of your role.Being professional and having excellent communication skills will be second nature to youthe important part is that you have experience of dealing with machine issues and managing multiple priorities.Depending upon experience, the salary banding is up to £45k per annum (inclusive of shift allowance). BSW also includes excellent benefits such as life assurance and pension contributions.There are multiple shift patterns available:
  • 12 hours per day, 4 on / 4 off (permanent days)
  • 12 hours per night, 4 on / 4 off (permanent nights)
  • 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday + overtime opportunities
Relocation packages are available for the right candidates and we welcome candidates Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.
