Support WorkerLearning DisabilitiesSENChildren and Young PeopleAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join a team of driven support workers, situated just ten miles south of Cambridge, on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border. The site provides education, care and therapeutic support for children and young people who have severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties resulting in complex learning needs.Set within 14 acres, the SEN site provides extensive space for learning, developing and living in an environment where there are a range of incredible facilities that include:Music and Art RoomsRebound TherapyHydrotherapyHard and soft outdoor spaceForestry SchoolAdapted KitchensEnterprise SchemesSensory RoomsYour RoleAs an SEN Support Workers, you will work with children and young people who have varying degrees of special educational needs and learning disabilities. Your aim is to promote their confidence and independence and support them to lead a fulfilling life.This is an incredibly challenging yet rewarding role, where being willing to lend a hand wherever required is essential.Experience with children, SEN and learning disabilities isnt essential, the drive and compassion to empower and transform lives is.You will be working on a shift pattern of early and late shifts from 7am to 9pm over a 40 hour week (e.g 7:30-4pm / 2pm-9pm) Depending on experience, you will be offered between £8.95 and £10 an hour.You will have a chance to work with a supportive team whose common goal is to empower and support wherever is required.Role Requirementsprovide exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care and ensuring care during the night.Ensuring that medical needs are met at all timesAssisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and developEnsuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyableDesirable- Level 3 in Residential Child Care.To apply, please email Required skills
