Job Description

NO PROBLEM**Do you want to start your journey within Healthcare and make a difference in peoples lives but don’t know where to start LOOK NO FURTHER… Here we have an exceptional induction program that will prepare you for your career ahead!We are looking for Day or Night support workers to work within a BEAUTIFUL children’s home and school that provides education, care and therapeutic support for children and young people age 9-19 with learning disabilities. If you are an energetic person that loves to have fun at work, then this is the role for you. We have sensory gardens (includes features, surfaces, objects and plants that stimulate our senses through touch, sight, scent, taste and hearing, a skills centre, forestry school and rooms dedicated to art, music and much more.Your new role of a Support Worker:

  • Helping with the young adults therapies such as rebound therapy or hydrotherapy in their newly renovated pool (Full training given)
  • Assist in the fun side of education
  • Provide care for children and young adults, assisting them to get ready for bed which will include washing and changing
  • Ensuring that medical needs are always met
  • Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive, calm and happy
  • As Support Worker you will ideally have:
  • Willingness to learn and to go the extra mile
  • Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
  • Exceptional communication skills and patience
  • Positive nature
  • Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of young adults or children’s needs
  • Ability to work on a rota pattern which will include working every other weekend
