02907 Maintenance Assistant Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border £9.65 - £10.18 p/hr depending on experience (£20,072 - £21,165 FTE)Job Title: Maintenance AssistantLocation: Meldreth, Nr Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire borderContract Type: Permanent, Part Time Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday Salary: £9.65 - £10.18 p/hr depending on experience (£20,072 - £21,165 FTE) We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join the Maintenace Team working at our estate, based in Meldreth, near Royston.The role:Your role will be to assist in the overall maintenance of the site by ensuring that all the buildings and grounds are kept in good order, clean and ready for use.With a strong emphasis on Health & Safety; youll be expected to ensure that the buildings and grounds are continually fit for purpose for students, residents and staff to enable them to fulfil their rolesYou will undertake tasks assigned to you in regard to porterage, cleaning and general grounds maintenance, and assist the rest of the maintenance team as and when requiredSkills and QualificationsExperience:Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate the following:Experience in Carpentry or Grounds Maintenance highly desirableGeneral maintenance experience and building services experienceWillingness to undertake compulsory training - including Health and Safety The ability to work alone and perform a high level of physical work (including the collection and movement of materials, equipment and furniture).Good level of literacy, numeracy and IT skills.Organised, motivated, ability to prioritise and a team player.A full driving licence.Benefits and Additional InformationBenefits: Life assurancePension planHigh street discounts (Perkbox)Bike to work schemeCar lease schemeHealth cash back planEmployee assistance programmeTraining and developmentFree Parking
