This Childrens home provides a highly specialist learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 who ave a range of MLD and SLDneeds including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties. As a Children’s support worker your main aim is to offer a safe and secure environment for the children in placement, making sure the individual needs of the children are placedat the centre of everything you do.We currently have some fantastic opportunities forenthusiastic, devoted, and fun individuals to join their team as Children’s Support Worker’s.You will be helping the young people every day with all aspects of home and school life, including getting ready in the morning, doing their laundry, and preparing meals, as well as aiding with art therapy, music therapy and rebound therapy in the school.You will always provide outstanding care.You will be responsible for a variety of duties around the home, but the main duties will include:- Ensuring care plans for young people are delivered effectively.- Ensuring high levels of supervision.- Some support workers assist the school.- Working closely with young people to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.- Attend to young people’s practical, physical, and emotional needs including personal care.- Completing written reports and documentation daily.- Liaison with families, schools, and other health professionals.- Work shift patterns including alternate weekends.Supporting some amazing young people, you could be assisting them with some exciting activities in the special day school allowing them to fulfil their independence.Shift times are stated below:- 9:00pm - 7.30am (night shift)- 8.45pm - 8.15am (night shift)- 7.30am - 9pm (day shift)- 12.30pm - 9pm (day shift)- 7.30am - 4pm (day shift)- 7.30am - 1.30pm (day shift)- 2.30pm - 9pm (day shift)The successful support worker will be someone who has a strong commitment to helping others and supporting their growth.
