Position SummaryThe main goal of the Program Manager is to ensure the delivery of Vehicle Personalisation accessories for a given Ford vehicle line.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate FLA program launch activities and FLA process governance within the process timeframeLiaise with relevant Engineering PMT and conduct Peer reviews to obtain engineering concurrence for every FLA project.
  • Liaise with relevant homologation teams and conduct Peer reviews to obtain compliance concurrence for every FLA project. Prepare FLA project documentation and present for approval by the IMG VP FLA Manager for every FLA project
  • Conduct Quality Impact assessments for proposed FLA parts in line with FLA and Ford process requirements.
  • Conduct fitment trials to assess vehicle integration for every FLA project
  • Collate and store program data in the FLA database, SharePoint and shared drives for all FLA programs in line with Ford document retention policies. It is expected that an FLA Engineer be able to coordinate process/activities for 20-25 FLA projects simultaneously.
Education
  • MS or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Vehicle Engineering.
Experience
  • 3+ years continuous position related experience in the auto industry.
  • Project management of small or similar sized teams (ideal).
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated strong Project Management abilities.
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to take responsibility for key program milestones
  • Familiarity with common engineering process/tool such as GT&D, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA and PSW.
  • Familiarity with and an understanding of Australian Design rule compliance requirements and how they relate to European Certification Standards (ECE) and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in the U.S.
  • Experience with multiple cultures, automotive markets, consulting and delivering change.
  • Able to manage large cross market programs.
  • Strong communication skills suited to interactions with cross functional teams such as marketing, legal, engineering & management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Able to work within a culturally and functionally diverse environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Particularly, communicate deliverables effectively to Senior Management.
  • Excellent computer literacy and competency with the basic Microsoft Office include Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Have a demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset, along with new business development exposure.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional and pro-active attitude.
  • Strong common-sense approach to engineering design and issue resolution.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a large volume of documentation submissions received by the markets.
  • Able to formulate and lead teams.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as work within a team.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
