Job Description

Job Title: Particle Team LeaderLocation: South West CambridgeshireSalary: £32,000 - £40,000Benefits: Pension scheme and life assurance package up to 6 times annual salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, bonus scheme, flexible working hours, enhanced maternity benefitsHours: 37.5 per week, Monday - FridayAbout the companyOur client prides itself on the time they invest to develop each member of their staff.   • Support full analytical testing of biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical products, according to cGMP standards
  • Carry out quantitative measuring of compounds in an array of formulations, assisting product development, batch certification and stability testing.
  • Follow all working instructions and communicate well within your team and with other departments
  • Plan and carry out work in order to complete projects successfully.
  • Document and report all analytical activities and results accurately.
The successful Laboratory Team Leader will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
  • Be degree qualified in Chemistry or equivalent scientific discipline
  • Have analytical chemistry knowledge with experience of techniques such HPLC
  • Experience of particle characterisation and physical properties would be an advantage
  • Experience of using Freeman powder rheometers, Proveris, Malvern or Sympatec equipment would be an advantage
  • Ideally previous experience of working in a cGMP Laboratory for 5 years minimum
  • Be able to write reports and study protocols with little supervision
  • Be IT literate
  • Have the ability to motivate your team and lead by example
  • To be able to deliver the best customer service with integrity and honesty
  • Be a self-starter who is results driven
