FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - £28250 - BASED MARKFIELD, NEAR LEICESTER. 4 DAYS/WEEKNOTE: This is a key worker role and will continue throughout lockdowns. Furlough will not be used and you will be expected to continue working.Established over 60 years, this professional two way radio services business provides a range of radio communications services including radio mast manufacture and installation, broadcast radio transmitter installation and maintenance, two way radios, radiosite sharing/management, wireless broadband and bespoke radio solutions.You will be working within a small team within a rapidly changing and evolving environment. It is unlikely that two days will ever be the same and new challenges and opportunities will be present on a regular basis. You will be working both on your own andwith others depending on the task.High levels of technical competence are not required. Whilst there are some technical aspects, being able to correctly wire a 13A mains plug and basically operate a computer is a good indicator of the technical level. More practical skill levels would befitting picture on wall and painting a fence. Full on the job training will be given.This job will involve working at heights and requires a reasonable physical fitness level as well as being willing to work outdoors in winter months, but not all work is outdoors or challenging. For the right candidate this job will provide an interestingand stimulating challenge.The key requirements are a "can do" attitude, an aptitude for adventure and new experiences in a highly varied and unusual working environment.MAIN DUTIES - FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIANSpecifically youll be required to:- Install and maintain radio masts and antennas which will involve working at height- Install two way radio into vehicles (buses, lorries, cars etc) and maintain existing vehicle installations- Install, maintain and repair faults on radio equipment at remote sites- Undertake maintenance of equipment such as painting and basic repairs- Liaise with customers and complete relevant paperwork- Manage "sub projects" and schedule work within these projects as requiredKEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE - MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS SERVICE TECHNICIANTo be successful, youll need to have experience of working within a rapidly changing environment. Youll be flexible, practical and have the ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills. The ability to identify and troubleshoot problems is important as is theability to work unsupervised both at and away from the office, so youll need to be self-motivated and well organised.
